Just open the holding ring just enough to fit over the end housing , by pressing on the red button and turning the handle. Then tighten it back up and your done.

Slid off old handle, slid on new handle, screwed to tighten. Simple.

Just turn the handle to open it up, and place it on the end of the hammer, then turn it to tighten it.
