Ryobi P205G trigger switch stuck in reverse mode only

Separate the housing assembly, remove the side that the screws came out of, leaving motor and gear assembly resting in the other half.
Detach motor and switch assembly form the gear train. Unsolder the wires from the motor side, take note of Positive (+ Red) and Negative ( ... Read more - Black).
Solder new switch assembly wires onto motor. Reinstall the motor, route wires in the appropriate groves to prevent pinching during reassembly.
Install the switch assembly, take note of the battery clip orientation. Reassemble the enclosure, insert and tighten all screws.
Tip: While the motor is out of the gear train assembly, you can clean and apply some grease to the gears will help prolong the life of the unit.
