1.Removed Torx T10 screws. Need a longer screwdriver type to reach the two screws at the base of the handle, the short 1\" long T10 that come in a set will not reach the screws there.
2.Remove right side drill cover. Everything stays in the left side cover.
3.Take pictures with phone camera for reference.
4.Unscrew two
... Read morephillips head screws for power wires at top.
5.Disconnect two push on terminals from the bottom.
6.Disconnect one plug from circuit board at bottom.
7.Pull out old switch. Tab at the top must engage the fwd/reverse external switch lever.
Installation is the reverse of these steps.
Be careful that all wires are routed correctly so they are not pinched when putting the right side shell back on.
The motor brushes on the drill I fixed were only 10% worn, I would not order this part unless you are sure yours are bad. Also, the part description on the order list calls this the \"motor\", but the arrow and the part are clearly the brush assembly.
