1. Remove chuck per internet search videos. Reverse-thread slotted retaining screw and standard thread chuck mount to the spindle.
2. Remove Torx screws holding the case together. Gently pry apart especially around the clutch handle. Set Clutch to \"1\" and mark alignment position on the gearbox.
3. Disconnect + and - motor l
... Read moreeads. Note reversed color coding: White is +; Black is -.
4. Lift out entire switch block assembly noting how it mates with F/N/R yellow button
5. The motor is a bayonet mount to the gearbox. Rotate slightly to remove.
6. Transfer the plastic mount to the new motor.
7. Now is a good time to open up the gearbox and inspect for wear/regrease. 1-2 hours. Search for the service manual online. Remove spring-wire-mounted High/Low switch. Watch for loose ball bearings in clutch area, loose roller bearings, and very small ball bearings immediately behind threaded-spindle end accessible by removing C-clip. Gearbox is long wearing and well designed and should outlast 2-3 motors.
8. Reassemble in reverse order
