Fortunately the \"damage\" was on the left side housing. I did not want to replace the right side because it contained the model & serial number label.
Removed 9, 10mm Torx head screws. Note that the 4 screws around the torque adjusting ring are longer than the other 5.

Separated the circuit board from the housing & pulled the LED headlight out of its lens.
Disconnected the battery charge indicator wire from the circuit board that is part of the left side housing. A small flat-blade screwdriver will help pry it off only because it is difficult to get at it with your fingers.
Removed the old left side housing.
It\'s a good idea to carefully brush out any sawdust or other debris while you have the housing apart.
Positioned the new left side housing.
Inserted the circuit board into the left housing while fitting the lens & headlight into the left housing. The headlight lens seamed a little tricky to get fitted.
Positioned the trigger & forward/reverse switch to the housing. If seems sloppy, but if fitted properly it works fine when the housing is assembled.
Connect the new battery charge indicator wire to the circuit board. It has to align just right, but slides on easily.
Assembled the 2 housing halves. This seems simple, but there are several pieces & wires that must align properly for it all to assemble correctly. This is where your pictures will help. Especially note the routing of the wires at the back of the motor, the fit/positioning of the circuit board and the positioning of the forward/reverse switch.
Replace the fasteners by finger starting all of them several turns. Careful torqueing the fasteners as they are going into plastic not metal. Tighten the 5 housing screws 1st. Then tighten the 4 longer ones around the torque adjusting ring.
Happy drilling.
