This is an authentic OEM part. The DeWALT shifter is composed of nylon and metal components. This item is made for use with many cordless drill tools. The shifter allows the operator to switch from first to second gear on the device's transmission. This part is fitted in the clamshell set and secured onto the spring (144658-00). The shifter is sold individually. A Torx screwdriver is necessary for the repair.
