Remove the battery. Remove the screws from the housing and separate the halves. Make a note or take a picture are located inside the housing. ... Read moreure all of the parts are in place. Then screw the housings together.
Removed screws, removed side plate. Pulled chuck from gear/motor. Remove and replace. Take care of wires and their connections. Everything will tighten up and seat better after you replace the plate and tighten. Careful, I easily broke one screw head. Too many and your drill gears wont seat properly.
Removed screws and pulled apart . Removed old gear box . Took my time and cleaned everything inside . Installed new gear box . When putting halves together making sure everything is in its slot or routed correctly . Snap closed and reinstalled screws . Tried it out and worked perfect .
