1. Measured voltage to motor - OK.
2. Removed motor
3. Installed new motor - attached wires.
4. Checked lead dress and made sure wires were in correct slots.
5. Attached case and installed screws & case clip.
6. Test/check. Monitor DC current draw.

Motor does not run in forward or reverse

1. Remove battery
2. Remove all screws and clip from battery compartment.
3. Gently lift rear end of motor and remove both electrical clips (red and black wires) while leaving wires in same position.
4. Remove entire motor and gearhead assembly with speed selection slide switch.
5. Separate motor from gearhead whil ... Read more e keeping gearhead assembly together.
6. Replace new motor into gearhead in same orientation as old motor.
7. Replace new motor assembly into drill housing and connect electrical clips according to correct polarity.
8. Replace speed selection slide switch.
9. Replace other half of drill driver and replace all screws and battery compartment clip while ensuring no wires are pinched between assembly.
10. Insert battery and get to work

Disassembled with a small common screwdriver, pulled out the old motor soldered wires red to red black to black,(polarity is important) Reassembly was tricky, getting the wires back where they belong, but not impossible.
I was happy with the quality of the replacement motor and would buy again from this company.
