This burner valve controls the flow of gas to the surface burner, allowing you to adjust the flame smoothly from low simmer to high heat. It’s a compact, lightweight component—about 4" × 2.5" × 1.1"—and helps ensure consistent, reliable flame control during cooking. A worn valve may cause the knob to feel stuck, the burner to struggle to light, or the flame to behave unpredictably. Installation usually involves shutting off the power and gas supply, removing the old valve, and securing the new one in its place, followed by checking all connections for leaks.
