This is a Genuine Manufacturer Sourced replacement part used on some Shimano Fishing Reels. This part is made out of Metal and it is Sold Individually. If Line guide (level wind) will not travel when cranking, replacing Line Guide Pawl may resolve the issue.
1. Unscrewed line guide casing.
2. Removed old line guide pawl and washer
3 Replaced with new line guide pawl and old washer
4. Screwed casing back on..
Reel was hard to turn from bad spool bearings ,right side bearing was stuck on shaft and broke idler gear upon disassembly screws were hard to remove due to long service intervals, cleaned up,lube,installed new part\'s everything ok.
1. Removed the side plates
2. Removed support bar to gain access to pawl cap
3. Remove pawl cap/pawl
4. Pulled out worm shaft and line guide
5. Slid line guide on new worm shaft, replaced pawl and pawl cap
6. Put assembly in, greased the shaft and the gear

Before starting the repair, I removed the line from the spool. This make it easier to ensure the level wind is in phase w/ the line coming off the spool. Reel works great! Great reels...
