This part is available as an individual replacement. The friction washer goes between the drive shaft screw and the drive shaft spring. When replacing this item a screwdriver may be needed. It is made of plastic and will need to be replaced if it becomes broken. This is an authentic Shimano replacement part that is sourced from the original manufacturer for use with reels.
