The idle gear goes between the set plate and the lock washer. This part is sold individually and is made of plastic. This is an authentic Shimano replacement part that is sourced from the original manufacturer for use with reels. A screwdriver may be needed during the replacement of this item. It will need to be replaced if it breaks.
