Level wind would not move

I removed the side plate and removed the level wind assembly and cleaned it.That is what caused the cog wheel to strip.
I then removed the stripped cog wheel and replaced it with new one.
It worked like a charm and now will cast easily.

it was a simple repair with easy replacement of the cog wheel. The reel works like a new one again. We didn\'t know that there were replacement parts for the older reels until I found your company online....Now maybe we will repair those old reels rather than discarding them.

1. Removed left side plate.
2. Remove e-clip holding cog gear.
3. Replace cog gear.
4. Install e-clip.
5. Install side plate.

1. Removed the end cap on the reel.
2. Removed the clip
3. Removed the cog wheel
4. Lubed the new cog wheel
5. Reassembled.

Worm gear

Took the reel apart and replaced the worm drive gear. The only semi tricky part was re-installing the clicker arm, just took a little line and ran in over the arm and held it back so it could slip into place.

Took off the end cap. Noticed that the cog wheel had some gear teeth missing. Ordered the new cog wheel and put it in. Reel is like new.

Removed side reel cover, removed snap ring holding gear in place on shaft, removed gear & replaced with new one and reassembled

1. Pulled off the end cap.
2. Removed the C-clip holding the gear.
3. Replaced the gear.
4. Put the clip back and reattached the end cap.
