... Read more spring will pop off. I inserted the new spring under the lever type spring so it can\'t come off. To re-assemble it\'s easier to remove the free spool lever for assembly as the lever type spring must be attached to the base plate before everything comes together. It now works perfectly, going in and out of gear as it should. This reel design is unique as to put it in free spool you move the lever back but to put it in gear there are two ways, moving the lever forward or by turning the handle.
