1. Unscrewed both lead pipes from check valve
2. Removed old check valve (unscrewed w/ socket set).
3. Taped new check valve treads and screwed it back in the compressor.
4. Reattached both lead pipes to check valve.

1. Removed the unloading tubes.
2. Removed the check valve.
3. Replaced with the new parts.

Compressor would stop after building pressure then would leak down to just above starting pressure

Never knew there was a check valve, not obvious in looking at machine. Got tips on possible problem from internet sources, the most obvious cause. Purchased check valve and compressor is like new. It had been getting progressively worse for a couple years so it was not an obvious thing. Somethings you get used to and don\'t notice unti l total failure.
Simple fix, take air lines off from feed going to tank, valve is screwed into fitting

Removed the air lines and the old check valve. Teflon taped and installed new check valve, re-installed air lines.

The compressor would run continuously instead of shutting off at 120psi.

Removed check valve
Applied teflon tape to replacement check valve
Inserted and tightened new check valve
Reattached air lines and tightened fittings
Pressured up compressor and checked for leaks
