1. Unscrewed both lead pipes from check valve
2. Removed old check valve (unscrewed w/ socket set).
3. Taped new check valve treads and screwed it back in the compressor.
4. Reattached both lead pipes to check valve.
Never knew there was a check valve, not obvious in looking at machine. Got tips on possible problem from internet sources, the most obvious cause. Purchased check valve and compressor is like new. Simple fix, take air lines off from feed going to tank, valve is screwed into fitting
Removed all air lines attached to check valve
Removed check valve
Applied teflon tape to replacement check valve
Inserted and tightened new check valve
Reattached air lines and tightened fittings
Pressured up compressor and checked for leaks
Removed 2 pipes, the valve and install the new one back in the tank, It fits perfect, no more air leaking.
