The retainer ring attaches to the felt muffler and the pilot unloader valve. It is an OEM from Rolair for use in compressors. This item is available as an individual replacement part. A wrench and a set of pliers might be needed during the installation process. This part is made out of metal and will need to be replaced if it breaks or bends.
