Air pressure Regulator missing

Removed the plastic nut that held the check ball, installed need part. Screwed on the complete regulator, took out the old relief valve and install the new one. The regulator parts came with a diagram how the parts were to be installed. Only special instruction needed was included.

Removed the knob by threading it off
Remove the internal parts of the regulator one at a time , and laid them in the order as removed
Installed the parts of the kit
Installed the new spring
Replaced the knob

Lost the spring

Took old parts out & compared the new parts, was easy to replace all components needed to fix my compressor. Instructions even had a note about the black or white part that my compressor had and used the same black part.

1. Opened bag of parts.
2. Noticed two parts seemingly identical,one black, one white. Notes said to use the same color as the original. Old parts shot out to the far reaches of garage, so I guessed on that one.
3. Put parts in according to picture and compressor works fine.

Regulator not working

Remove the knob from the regulator, then all of the internal parts, and laid them in a line as I removed them. I then installed the new parts in the same order as the old parts.
Compressor is working great.
