This is an original part from Makita. The motor cover is compatible with many air compressors, and is sold individually. The plastic motor cover is fitted over the motor and crankcase, providing protection. A hex key is required for making the replacement.

1) Loosen all bolts.
2) Remove old cover.
3) Move the motor in the position to slide on the new cover. The motor can move once the bolts are removed.
4) Replace bolts.
