This is an authentic slight glass which includes the sealing o-ring gasket. It is a high quality item that is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with Makita air compressors. It allows user to check the oil level of the unit. Please note one durable clear plastic sight gauge is included per order.
Dumped oil,removed cracked crankcase cover gasket.replaced with new items,assembled with regular force ,not excessive force. Pleaced all bolts at same time,sealed crankcase,added oil. Good to go.

Oil sight glass on compressor was leaking through a small crack
1. Drain oil from compressor
2. Removed old oil sight glass
3. Install new sight glass
4. Refill with oil to proper level as marked on the sight glass
5. Clean up an spills
Installed new parts. used loctite thread seal on the plug
