The check valve attaches to the tank and helps to let air into the tank. It is made out of metal and is priced individually. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is used in compressors made by DeWALT and Bostitch. It will need to be replaced if it breaks and may require a screwdriver and a wrench set to do the replacement.

loosened bonnet nut from side to un hook outlet tube.
remove by unthread part.
replace new part threading clock wise, attach outlet tubing and tighten bonnet nut.
job done with ease.
Disconnected the line and found valve stuck open. Replaced the valve, and now the air tank builds up pressure
