This is a genuine DeVilbiss part for use with air compressors. The safety valve attaches to the manifold and pops open to relieve air pressure if the pressure switch fails to shut off the pump at the cut-off pressure setting. The most common reasons for replacing the safety valve is if the Valve is fouled/damaged or the air compressor runs for a while then turns off. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the safety valve is a Phillip's screwdriver and a Ratchet/socket set.
