This is a Genuine Manufacturer Approved replacement part designed to work with a variety of Air Compressors. The pressure switch tells your compressor when to stop and when to start. There are multiple reasons a Pressure Switch could be leaking air. If it is leaking air the Pressure Switch should be replaced for a compressor to operate properly and safely.

Bad Pressure Switch

Unplug the compressor from its power source. Remove all of the existing parts from the old pressure switch. Remove the cover. Make a wiring diagram. Disconnect the wires from the old switch. Remove the old switch and install the new one. Open the cover and connect the wires. Install all the parts that were taken off of the old one. Connec t it to its power source and you\'re done.

Pressure switch was not engaging at the 175psi shutoff point

1. Disconnected the power.
2. Safely emptied the tank pressure.
3. Took the switch top cover off.
4. Disconnect the aluminum air line from the switch to the tank.
5. Disconnected the motor wires and the power in wires.
6. Pulled the wires out of the switch so that they were away from each other.
7. Used a 3/4\" wrench to unscrew the pressure switch from the tank.
8. Installed the new switch.
9. Reattached the wires to the correct locations.
10. Reinstalled the aluminum air line.
11. Insure all wires and air lines are connected.
12. Put the switch top cover back on.
13. Flipped the red switch arm to auto.
14. Turned the power back on.
**make sure tank pressure shuts off at 175psi**

Pressure switch leaked air out

1 Shut off power to switch
2 Release all air from compressor tank
3 Remove switch cover and power cord connections ( remember where they went on the switch)
4 Remove small tube from right side of switch
5 Pull cord from switch and using a wrench unscrew the switch from the tank
6 Install in reverse order, tur n power power back on and let pressure build up to make sure switch works properly

Unplug compressor from Power, take cover off pressure switch remove wiring clips remove pressure switch, install a new pressure switch connect all wiring clips tighten everything down, and turn it on!

Bled all air out of compressor,unwired pressure switch,removed switch,wired it back up,replaced pressure release valve,and turned power back on,worked fine
