This is an original part from Craftsman for use with Air Compressors. The start capacitor briefly increases the voltage to the motor to help the motor start. The most common reason for replacing the start capacitor is if the motor or compressor won't start. This part is sold individually. The tool that you will need to replace the start capacitor is a wrench set.
