This is an OEM authorized part designed for use with Porter Cable and DeVilbiss air compressors. The purpose of a check valve is to let the pressurized air flow into the tank and prevent it from flowing back into the pump. When replacing this part make sure to unplug the air compressor and release the air from the tank. It provides an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty component which is made of durable metal and is sold individually. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this part.

Removed the tube from the defective check valve. Then removed the check valve. Installed the new check valve, then installed the tube on the new check valve
Disconnect the power to the compressor.
De-pressure the air tank, utilizing the pressure relief valve.
Remove the connecting tubing using the correct open end wrench.
Removed the old check valve,using a socket wrench
And then install the new Valve and replace the remaining components in reverse order.
Removed plastic safety cover
Removed fitting from compressor head and tank.
Unscrewed broken check valve.
Reversed procedure with new check valve installed,
Note: Replacing the plastic housing takes the most time.

I found a compressor, complete minus the parts you guys were able to locate for me, using some older diagrams for a Devilbiss compressor.. good job guys
I was looking for a vertical compressor, this would take less room in my shop verse my horizontal compressor, I found one in a scrap metal business, that was bought for scrap price, it was missing several parts, I was able to purchase from eReplacementParts,the parts for less than $50.00, and after paying $45.00 for the Devilbiss compres
