Turn off circuit breaker. Drain tank. Unscrew air pipe from head. Unbolt the 3/8\" head bolts. Pry off the head & intake plate & gaskets. Gently & thoroughly clean the top of the block to bare metal. Vacuum the cylinder & piston. Be aware that under the stuck on gaskets is a minute sealing ring cast into those surfaces. Don\'t cut th em off. Pry & slice with the razor blade from a utility knife all the old gaskets off. Clean any stubborn spots with Naphtha. I replaced the valve plates & restrictors per the enclosed instructions.

Installed the head & intake plate with the new gaskets. Tightened the head bolts working opposites to evenly snug with a 1/2\" drive ratchet. Did the final tightening in opposites to a moderate tightness. (no torque wrench) Reattached the air tube to the head. Check for leaks with soapy water: None!

Very simple. Unbolt head, Carefully clean the gasket surface. This is aluminum, and care should be taken to not damage the surface and the little ridge that runs around the gasket perimeter. I replaced the valve body gasket and the intake and exhaust valves as preventative maintenance.
