Once the belt guard was removed, I found it easier to remove the drive pulley before removing the motor.
I disconnected the motor lead wires at the pressure switch, but in hindsight, it would have been better to have just removed the leads from the motor. Wiring up was easy as the wires already had spade terminals on them, but it to
... Read moreok a minute to find the marking for the L1 and L2 connections on the new motor.
Once the motor wires were connected and the belt was aligned, the motor was tightened down to the bracket. It ran in the correct direction right out of the box so nothing further was needed except to replace the belt guard.
Tip: If the pulley set screw has a square head, a 1/4\" drive socket extension and 8\" adjustable wrench will make securing the pulley to the shaft much easier.
Turned off power

Aline belt with pump
Rewire motor
Turned power back on
