Check valve lets pressurized air flow into the tank and prevents it from flowing back into the pump. 2. Remove plastic airline off of valve
3. Unbolt copper line From top of compressor Then remove line
4. Remove Valve from tank
5. Re install in reverse order

Air was leaking through the check valve and around the copper tubing.
1. Turned off the compressor and relived all air pressure from the tank.
2. Took off the protective shroud.
3. Removed the copper tubing and the plastic regulator tubing from the compressor and the tank.
4. Unscrewed and removed the old check valve.
