1. Removed the exhaust with a wrench, both ends were loose than cleaned the parts of the plumbers tape.
2. Put new tape on.
3. Put new part in place and used the same wrench to tighten one end at a time.

Valves worn, cracked exhaust tube...couldn\'t get air pressure
1. removed air intake filter
2. removed motor cover
3. removed exhaust tube
4. removed valve cover assembly
5. replaced valve assembly parts with new in same order as old valve assembly, tightened down valve cover
6 replaced exhaust tube with new part, tightened down ends to seal tube
