This genuine manufacturer-sourced part is specially designed for use with Bostitch air compressors. The purpose of this gasket is to provide a tight seal for the valve plate, unfortunately, over time it will wear out and it may begin to crack eventually requiring a replacement. Keep in mind this high-quality component is made of durable composite material and is sold individually. Please make sure to check the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this hardware.
Removed head, thoroughly cleaned all parts sanded the surfaces to insure a good seal. Reassembled and plugged it in. Works fine. This is the 2nd time I\'ve done this. Compressor gets used a lot. Very easy repair anybody with basic mechanical skills can do this. A lot cheaper than a new compressor.
