This genuine item is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Bostitch air compressors. The drain tap attaches to the crankshaft and is made out of metal. If this item breaks it will need to be replaced. A wrench may be needed during the installation of this part which is sold individually.
Removed damaged drain valve. Cleaned threads.
Put anti-seize grease on threads on new drain valve.
Thread valve into compressor tank and tighten with wrench.
Drain air from compressor first. Removed old drain tap with a wrench. Applied plumbers tape around threads on new one and threaded it on compressor and tightened it down with wrench.
Removed old Drain Tap from compressor with Crescent wrench.
Wrapped Teflon tape on threads of replacement drain.
Tightened Drain Tap with wrench, done!
