This is an OEM 12-cup glass decanter for a coffee maker. The decanter slides snuggly on top of the warming plate and below the water reservoir. It has a black plastic handle, used to remove it from the machine. The decanter is where the coffee is held, until poured into a cup, and is also used to measure the water poured into the tank before brewing. If the glass is damaged in any way, it will need to be replaced immediately, never operate the coffee maker with a broken decanter, since it could shatter.
