Water hot water tube from bottom of pot to top of pot was broken.
It took me almost all day to figure out how the maker was assembled and how to get to the water feed tube.
I e-mailed Krups and they said to send it out to them for repair. Not worth it for me.
I finally figured it out. The top and all of the brewing area came out together by using a flat blade screwdriver and prying between
... Read morethe side trim and in the crack between the side and the top.
Once I did that, the whole insides came out in one piece. I used a 3/8 drill to clean out the hardened old water feed tube. Put some cooking oil on both sides of the new tube. Lined up both ends of the tube with the holes in the top and bottom, pressed it back together, Pressing the top down, it snapped together, and I\'m done.
Very easy once I figured out how it came apart.
Whoever engineered the design of that pot did a great job. The fit is perfect, and simple operation. A good engineering effort.
