This brew basket is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part. It is specially designed for use with Hamilton Beach coffee makers. This is the container for the ground coffee. It is made out of metal and plastic. Replacing this part is easy and does not require any tools. Simply pull out the old brew basket and secure the new one in place.
Nothing was wrong with my coffeemaker. I just ordered extra parts because I love the coffeemaker and I wanted extra parts on hand in case i needed them.
I received this single cup coffee pot for Christmas and wanted the parts just in case anything ever happened. Not having my one cup of coffee when I wake up is not an option and now It won\'t happen. If I ever have to use one of these extra parts, I will purchase another one! Thanks!
