This part has been made by Delonghi for use on many models of espresso makers. The Cup Plate is made of steel. This part is used to hold and support the cup while brewing and to allow for drainage into the drip tray. This part should be replaced if it has become warped or bent to where it is no longer flat and fits correctly into the Drip Tray.
