This part is made of high-temperature plastic and is used to create the necessary pressure for proper brewing. You will require a screwdriver when replacing this item. It is advisable when removing multiple parts to keep careful track of their order so they can be reassembled correctly. You may want to also replace the stopper and spring at the same time.
