This is a genuine DeLonghi part straight from the manufacturer. The gasket, made of flexible rubber, sits between the boiler and disk filter to ensure a secure fit. It is used on the EMK6 Moka Espresso Coffee Maker. This part is sold individually. No tools are required to replace this item. Simply remove the old part, and snap the new one into place.

Essential part for my espresso pot
I normally stock several gaskets since they tend to wear out frequently.

Looks are deceiving
I mainly bought it because it looked like the original rubber gasket. It's not rubber, it's silicone.
I wanted the rubber because that's what it comes with so in my opinion that is better. Down side of rubber gasket is with time you need to replace them. The silicone gasket is working great, downside to it is it doesn't keep the metal filter stuck, when you rinse it it falls out.
I left 5 star because with does it's job, but I think I still would prefer The rubber gasket

The old gasket was worn out letting coffee seep out.
Nothing special, the old gasket was failing out. Make sure you have the filter placed correctly when installing the gasket. The filter should be bowed into the top portion of the maker.
