This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Skil worm drive circular saws. The armature is one of two main components of the electric motor. Armatures are the rotating part of the motor and can become damaged. If a commutator bar on the armature breaks it can cause the armature to not start up, but then start up when the spindle is turned. This armature is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
