Product Description

?

This Trigger switch has internal terminals and a forward/reverse control lever. This authentic Skil replacement part is sold individually. Switches are commonly replaced parts in power tools, handling all on/off and variable speed operations. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity. Because switches use mechanical internals, they will degrade and wear out over time, eventually requiring replacement. Some common signs of a broken or failing switch are: • The tool will not start when you use the switch, or it requires multiple tries to turn on, until eventually it refuses to start at all. • The variable speed function and electric braking aren't working properly.

Used a screwdriver with a medium star-bit and took off the the removable part of the handle.
Removed the wires one at a time by depressing the retainers in the old switch. Put the wires into the new switch as they were removed so there could be no chance of getting the wires crossed. Put the new switch in place and carefully re-la ced the wires into the channels so there would be no chance of pinching them.
Note: Be careful to insert the power cord correctly into the slot before replacing the handle.
Re-installed the handle half with the drill/driver torque set on \"5\".
Tested the saw and it worked fine.
Thanks for your quick delivery and your excellent price.

Replaced the switch by splitting the control handle, noting the wiring connections, removing all of the old switch pieces while noting the arrangement. The push connectors make it easy to connect the wires, seat the switch, and replace the handle half. Zoom zoom!
