It is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specially produced for use with Skil skilsaws. The washer goes next to the plain washer. A wrench might be necessary during the installation of this part. It will need to be replaced if it becomes broken. This part is made of metal and is available individually.
1. At first didn\'t realize saw used a left hand thread on blade bolt.
2. Tried turning it with wrench but wouldn\'t budge, and rounded hex head
3. Went to a pipe wrench, still wouldn\'t budge.
4. Then drilled a hole in bolt for a tap to serve as an easy out. Broke tap.
5. Took a grinder with a cut-off wheel
... Read more and cut head of bolt off. This released compression from Belleville washer and bolt came out easily.
