Genuine OEM replacement part, this item is sold individually. The purpose of the Brush Cap is to retain the Brushes in the Brush Holders. This Brush Cap has external threads that thread into the housings of the tools shown below. Be careful when removing and replacing these, they have a tendency to break.
Set polishing on armature gently and turned the blade till the armature showed a bright shiny. Copper. Then I installed the new brushes and cap. My 30 year saw ran like I just bought it!
Take apart the switch housing, remove the old switch. Remove the screws from the base plate and loosen the lever assy on both ends of the plate. Remove the unit as a whole, reinstall in reverse order.
