This is an authentic OEM part which is designed for use with Porter Cable, DeWalt and Black and Decker saws. It is a standard hardware which helps to secure a component on a shaft. This is an identical replacement for a damaged or a faulty part that was installed on a new unit. Check the appropriate diagrams for your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this retaining ring. It is best to use snap-ring pliers to remove the old part and secure the new one. One durable metal retaining ring is included.
