Product Description
?This is an on/off switch for various models of circular saws. This switch is located near the main handle assembly of the saw and responsible for toggling the power to the saw. This switch is made of durable black plastic and features a single toggle that the user presses to turn the saw on. Over time and through extended use, this switch can wear out and fail, at which point it needs to be tested with a multimeter, and/or replaced. To remove this switch for testing and replacement, you will need to first disconnect it from power, and then disassemble one half of the main handle with a drill or screwdriver. Once the securing screws are removed, you can pull the plastic shell of the handle off to expose its internal components. Pull the switch out of the housing and remove the wires connected to it, noting their location for the future installation. With the switch removed, you can test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity, and if it does not, it will need to be replaced. With the new switch in-hand, install the wires with a screwdriver, starting with the motor wires (usually black first, and then white) and then the cord wires. Now place the switch into the housing and make sure the switch and wires are all flush, before reassembling the handle and securing it together.

Hello Charles, thank you for writing in. The most common part that is the issue for it not to start is the Switch 23-66-2635. If the blades are not turning, you should check your Inner and Outer Blade Flanges, parts 43-34-0790 and 43-34-0795 respectively. We hope this helps.
Hello Jethro, thank you for writing. To be sure, please ensure the correct parts are used. The Switch is part 2127441 and the Switch Lock-Out Button is part 42-42-0345. Yes, the diode 23-38-2840 is the correct next assumption. This is shown by reading a past customers testimonial " took plenty of photos before removing switch and diode. Special attention to wire colors and position before replacing cover. T25 and t15? Needed. Minimum 2 inches on some screws. Easy really, just take photos and take your time. Probably never have to replace again. Buy both parts. Switch and diode. One or both can be bad."
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching your model, we show the compatible on/off switch as part# 23-66-2635. We hope this helps.
