Carbon brushes play an important role by conducting electric current while maintaining physical contact with an armature. Over time due to normal use the brushes will wear away eventually requiring replacement to maintain peak performance. It is a high-quality carbon brush with an attached lead wire and a spring, please note this item is sold individually.
