This replacement part is an authentic manufacturer-sourced air filter insert which is supplied for use with Makita power cutters. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and the engine, over time the filter will get dirty and clogged restricting the airflow which can result in a significant loss of power, inspect it periodically and replace the filter as needed to maintain peak performance. Please note this high-quality pleated paper filter is sold individually.
