This is a genuine DeWALT part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in saws. The retaining ring goes between the clamp washer and the outer blade clamp. A wrench and a set of pliers might be helpful during the installation of this item. Over time this part may break or bend and will need to be replaced. It is made out of metal and is sold individually.
