Shock absorber missing and cord protector cut up

Removed the six screws that secure handle halves together,,,,with flat blade screwdriver gently pried one half of handle off,,removed the two screws that secure cord to handle and one screw that holds switch in place,,,removed the screws that hold wires of cord to switch and also the green ground wire,,,removed the old cord protector an d slipped the new one on along with the shock absorber,,,reattached the wires back on the switch and secured the green ground wire to body of saw,,reattached the two screws that secure cord to handle and the one screw that holds switch in place,,,attached the handle halves together with the six screws,,,job completed!!! the only thing to be sure to do is to make sure wires are routed on the slots in handle that are there just for that purpose,,,

Power cord had bad connection

Removed all the screws holding handle assembly together, then removed the pinch bracket that locks cord in place,,removed the screw that hold switch in place,,disconnected the three wires from the old power cord,,placed the new strain relief on new cord, cut the new cord wires to proper length,,crimped on new terminals, connected black an d white wire to switch and green ground wire to saw ground terminal,,replaced the switch back in handle, fitted the handle halves together with screws,,done!!!
