This is an original DeWalt replacement part manufactured for use with circular saws, this is not an aftermarket imitation part. Some common signs of a bad switch are the tool simply not turning on at all, or running intermittingly. Replacing the switch is relatively straight forward and can extend the life of the saw. This switch is available as an individual replacement part.

Remove all screws from saw handle. Remove handle cover, to expose switch. Remove screw from switch. There are four wires screwed to switch, remove one at a time, and move to new switch to keep track of location. Screw new switch in place. Put handle back together, and screws back in place.
