This is an original OEM part from Makita. The starter cover gasket is made for specific 4-Stroke Handheld Cut-off Saw models. The cardboard composite gasket is fitted between the clutch cover and the starter assembly. The gasket provides protection from friction, and is sold individually. A screwdriver, socket set and pliers are often necessary for the repair.
