removed spark plug, blocked piston travel, removed bolt, washer, and cutter-shredder. reversed procedure using Loc-tite to reinstall bolt and sharpened old cutter. I now have a spare cutter.
put unit to work and had 16 bags of shredded leaves
Remove the fan guard
Take the bolt to the blade off
Remove the blade
Replace the blade
Install blade spacer
Install blade bolt

The vacuum housing was worn through, the shredder blade was worn as was the blower the spark plug was just maintenance.
1. Removed the fan cover or shroud on the left side making sure the auto cut-off switch was removed .2. Removed the shredder blade and fan. Needed a mechanic with an air wrench to un freeze it. .3. Reassembled in reverse order. 4. Runs as new.
