This is an authentic Shindaiwa replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with electric chainsaws. The carbon brush is used to relay electricity to the rotating armature assembly. The brush makes contact with a moving part and eventually will wear down. A signs that the brushes need to be replaced are smoke or sparks emitted by the motor. This brush is sold individually, please note two may be required.
